Gratitude 1 - Before and After

Gratitude 1
Acrylic on cradled board
12" x 12"
$850
by Linda Rothchild Ollis

This painting has been accepted into the Pittock Mansion
Exhibit: "Let Us Speak Our Minds". It honors the
100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote,
in Oregon, in 1912.
The exhibit runs July 14 - November 11.
Hours: 10 - 5  (summer hours).
The above painting is the "After" version of this
painting. Below is the "Before" version, you might
remember from a post in May.
I designed a stronger dark shape, with more color,
 in the "After" version, above.

"Before" version

It has been awhile since I have visited the Pittock
Mansion and my visit reminded me that it is one of our
Portland treasures. Summer gardens and spectacular
views surround this grand mansion. Definitely worth
a visit. Enjoy a picnic on the lawn, as many folks do
in this warmer weather. For more info:

Comments

I always admire painters who successfully create "memories" in a figurative work as you have here. By the way the darks added improved the composition.
