You've seen all the parts of this project, as I have
created them. I need to revisit it in a week and see
if anything needs to be changed
My goal was to re-use and re-purpose the front
of the cabinet drawer, fabric, computer keys, grass
paper, and scrap foam core board. About 95% of
this piece is recycled.
Thank you to Herman Melville and
Albert Einstein for saying what I wanted to say so well.
Figuring out how to adhere the quotes with a clear glue
to the back of the glass tiles was a challenge.
Researching non-toxic glues revealed
that almost every glue that adheres to non-porous
surfaces is toxic. According to the technical
data, toxic means that it is a health hazard, requires
a hazardous warning if mailed and
a landfill hazard.
Because sustainability is all about using products
that promote a better environment for our health,
landfills and world, I found Aleen's Super Thick
Tacky Glue and The Ultimate -Crafter's Pick.
They will adhere non-porous (glass and plastic)
and are non-toxic.
