"Acqua Calda Con Limone"

Two wonderful memories come to mind
as I paint another red cup and lemon painting.

First, fond memories of one of my favorite people,
my grandmother "Fanny", who enjoyed hot water with lemon.

Second, on our recent trip to Italy, "Per favore, acqua calda con
limone" was a phrase I practiced and it was easily understood
by our Italian waiter. I knew this to be true, because he said "Bene!"
(fine or good) instead of offering me a more accurate pronunciation.
Just a personal observation...The benefit of me
attempting to speak Italian, to Italians, is the smile and amusement
it brings to their lives.
